HPI offers up all kinds of new toys in Germany
Man look at all this new stuff HPI has had up their sleeve. We knew they were working on a brushless 1/5 scale as we reported that in the recent past. We also knew of some small 2-stroke type engine they were working on for an 1/8 scale. But what they have done is slapped that same 2-stroke into the extended Savage chassis. I am not sure what the demand will be for a 1/5 scale with such low power but hey….at least its 4wd.

Super 5 SC Gas
The Savage drivetrain is super flexible, allowing HPI monster trucks to reach legendary levels of durability and performance! Because of this extreme toughness, HPI designers have Super-sized the Savage to 1/5th scale, taking the Savage to a new dimension! And when we combined this extra-large size Savage chassis with the all-new eXtreme Gas petrol engine, that’s when things really got interesting!
The all-new eXtreme Gas engine may be smaller than the Fuelie 23cc engine, but it’s also lighter, and powering a lighter vehicle than the Baja 5B buggy or 5SC truck (over 20kg). This makes it the perfect match for the Super 5SC!

With specialized parts to fit the Baja 5SC body, bumpers and wheels, from the outside the Super 5SC Flux looks just like its petrol-breathing stablemate. It’s only when you switch it on and drive away that its secret is revealed!

RTR Baja 5b Flux
The Baja 5B Flux takes the stage as another large-scale release for HPI in 2012! This super-powerful, super-quick buggy can hit easily hit nearly 100km/h (60mph) with 8S power and a 780Kv motor!
